Rhins of Galloway Coast Path

We worked on the Development Phase of this £1 million plus Heritage Lottery and Coastal Communities Fund supported project to create a number of supporting documents for the HLF application. We were engaged, by Dumfries and Galloway council, to prepare an evaluation strategy, activities and engagement plans and to write the Round 2 application to HLF. The project aims to complete a circuit route of the Rhins of Galloway peninsula in the south west corner of Scotland, linking existing paths and upgrading others, improving signage and interpretation and involving the local community and visitors in a programme of events, discovering local heritage sites and volunteering opportunities. The page header and the related images (click for a slide show) feature painted stones created in an art project along part of the route and a Steering Group meeting discussing the evaluation framework. We will complete the final evaluation of the project in 2023.
