Kirkbride Primary School

In 2015/16, Dave worked with Kirkbride Primary School and the local community to design and construct a new wildlife pond and garden in the school grounds. Volunteers were involved in clearing the site, installing a second pond-dipping platform and planting trees, shrubs, wildflowers and pond plants to create this educational resource. An outdoor classroom feature was created by using a recycled cable drum for a table, surrounded by log seats. The image at the head of the page shows the site as work was in progress, with the new pond just beginning to fill with water.
