Hadrian’s Wall Community Champions Evaluation

We undertook an evaluation of Hadrian’s Wall Community Champions, at the end of its three-year programme in December 2016. The following methods were used to gather views and information:

• Interviews with Community Champions staff and stakeholders
• Evaluation workshop with members of the project steering group
• Interviews with other partners who host Volunteer Heritage Guides
• Telephone interviews with a sample of community group representatives
• Online survey of event participants
• Online survey of volunteers – Volunteer Heritage Guides and WallWatch Volunteers
• Volunteers’ evaluation workshop

The page header features a ‘word cloud’ produced from data assembled via an on-line survey of participants and the general public. It represents the terms used by respondents to the survey and sized according to how often they appeared in people’s answers.
